London's best reviewed new writing night
It has been an absolute pleasure being in the two Bare Essentials productions this year. London's best reviewed new writing night has been created by Liam Fleming of Encompass productions.
On July 15th & 16th we performed at the The Arts Theatre, in the centre of the West End, London's theatre hub. Mark Keegan, Ramzi Dehani, our director Justin Murray and myself brought 'The Monstrification of Eastern Europe' to the stage. A thought provoking piece about fake news written by Nina Wieda, who flew all the way from Chicago to see us. Here I am as, Natasha, my performance described as 'nuanced, chilling and powerful' by Nina herself.
On December 9th and 10th we performed again at the The Arts Theatre, then at the Amersham Arts, Bare Essentials' previous jaunt. This time I worked with Ramzi Dehani again, Kathy Trevelyan and director, Katie Turner, on a play with a twist, called '2022,' written by Colleen Prendergast. I played, Selwa Dewan, a refugee with a fiery personality in an interrogation room at a dystopian 2022 border crossing from Scotland to England.
Encompass productions are now taking a break from Bare Essentials so here's to hoping they'll be back soon!
