What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese health system, first discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the 19th century. Reiki means 'Universal Life Force Energy.' This natural energy may also be known as 'Chi'. Reiki is a form of hands-on healing and the energy is channelled through the practitioner, passing through light touch over specific points on the recipient’s body.
The recipient can be a child, adult or even your pet.
Reiki is so simple yet incredibly powerful, working wherever it is needed on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Reiki is transformative, clearing karmic patterns and enabling a stronger connection to one's authentic self.
Receiving Reiki is a gentle, soothing experience and it is a completely harmless therapy. The energy may be experienced as warmth, tingling, an emotional release, other colourful sensations, or nothing at all. Reiki assists the recovery from any ailments the body is experiencing, and is a perfect therapeutic complement to any treatment already being received.
In Reiki Level One, the student receives an 'attunement' so they are open to receiving and channeling universal energy. The student then has the ability to heal themselves and other using Reiki.
In Reiki Level Two, is taught to those who have completed Reiki Level One. Here, the practitioner is attuned to channel higher levels of universal energy; is taught the sacred symbols, and learns how to send Reiki over distance and time.

Why Reiki?
Once you learn Reiki, you have this wonderful gift for life. Reiki is a very simple, gentle and empowering way to give healing to others and yourself.
Reiki became my vehicle for personal growth. The stronger I could connect and listen to myself, the more empowered the choices I made. Using my intuition, I could navigate clearly through whatever life threw at me. Empowering choices not only benefited me, but those around me. If we all connected to our truest selves, humanity would be transformed, and we'd live in a more compassionate and harmonious world.
Anyone can learn Reiki and anyone can receive it from you.
The energy flows to wherever in the body it is required. Along with it's gentle nature, Reiki can thus be used for all ages and all conditions.
Reiki brings peace and joy to the mind, body and soul, and is perfect for those on a path of spiritual development. Reiki is not attached to any belief systems or religion. All that is required is a desire to receive the healing.
About me
I have been a Reiki Practitioner since 2007, when I was taught by Reiki Master, Savitri Sriharan in London. Over the years, I treated people across the globe and found it was equally effective for their pets. I graduated as a Medical doctor in 2006 and worked for six years in hospitals across Birmingham and Taranaki, New Zealand. I am now also a professional actress, using my skills to foster empathic communication in the training of health professionals.
My medical experience has been invaluable to understanding the manifestation of illness on the physical body, and my work as an actress has deepened my awareness on an emotional level. I've also studied shamanism, channeling, sound healing and traditional Maori medicine & massage under Kuia Olive Bullock in New Zealand. Although these all influence my healing work, I prefer to practice Reiki in it's simplest form.
Having taught in both the UK and New Zealand, and undergone a life-long transformative journey, I became a Reiki Master to pass this beautiful skill on to others.
I now live in Newquay, Cornwall with my son and am passionate about living consciously, in harmony with nature and all of humanity.
